Texas should take advantage of its independent grid and mines by encouraging providers to build and operate traditional and next-generation nuclear power plants (such as molten salt reactors), free of the red tape they would otherwise incur. To keep the federal government from interfering, Texas should also ensure that the supply chain of components and fuel remains in-state and off federally claimed land.
