Texas should take advantage of its independent grid and mines to build and operate traditional and next-generation nuclear energy plants. To keep the federal government from interfering, the Texas Legislature shall establish a nuclear regulatory authority and ensure that the facilities and their supply chain of components and fuel remains in state and off federally claimed land. The Texas Legislature shall begin the process of creating a Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The Texas Legislature must ensure the safety of these reserves from enemies, foreign and domestic.
