We urge the Texas Legislature to adopt legislation that recognizes and establishes all businesses and jobs as essential and a fundamental right. Governments do not have the authority to determine what entities are essential during an emergency. Businesses shall not be held liable for any customer who frequents their business and later is confirmed to test positive for a contagious illness.
