School Finance and Property Taxation

72. Elected Officials’ Salaries

State, county, or local elected officials shall not be eligible to receive salary or benefit increases that they vote on. Voters must otherwise approve such benefits by a two thirds (2/3) majority of those voting, and only if 20% of all registered voters in the district cast ballots. (S, L)
